YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED

How soon can I begin Physical Therapy after I deliver my baby?

It’s never too soon to begin! If you are experiencing pain or have difficulty moving around or caring for your baby, we recommend scheduling a virtual or in-person appointment as soon as possible once you return home with your baby. There is no need to wait! Typically we recommend all birthing persons consider a virtual session within 2 weeks of delivery to benefit from an assessment and education in bladder/bowel health and recovery strategies to assist with restoring strength and improving function. Most women would benefit from an in-person assessment immediately following your medical follow-up.
