Taylor Sheffield, PT, DPT, CLT
Physical Therapist
Professional Background
Taylor Sheffield is a compassionate physical therapist who is passionate about helping individuals navigate pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and pelvic health challenges. Her clinical expertise includes treating pelvic pain, painful intercourse, pelvic girdle dysfunction, urinary and bowel dysfunctions, and other conditions that impact daily life and well-being.
Her clinical approach integrates movement system assessment, patient education, and a holistic perspective to help women feel empowered and confident in their bodies. Taylor’s calm and supportive style helps patients feel comfortable while learning to reconnect with and trust their movement again.
Taylor earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Washington University in St. Louis, where she also completed a Women’s Health Residency. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition, Food, and Exercise from Virginia Tech and is also a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT).
My Why as a PT
Taylor is deeply motivated by a desire to help people return to the activities and experiences that bring them joy. She believes that education, movement, and motivation are key to recovery and confidence.
She is particularly passionate about women’s health because it is an area that is often under-discussed or overlooked. Taylor believes every person deserves full autonomy in their healthcare decisions and that pelvic health should be approachable, accessible, and supportive for everyone. Her goal is to ensure that each patient feels truly heard, understood, and empowered in their care journey.
Personal Interests
Outside of the clinic, Taylor loves being outdoors—whether she’s camping, hiking, taking her Jeep out on a trail, or exploring botanical gardens. At home, she’s happiest with a good book, a cup of tea, and her pets nearby.
Taylor also enjoys expressing her creativity through embroidery and painting, and she never misses a chance to catch a baseball game.
